Have a friend looking for a average value on a pristine 1959 Belgium made Weatherby Mark V in 300 Weatherby mag, any help is appreciated. Not sure he is wanting to sell just yet, he does like to trade. Not sure of the round count but don’t think it’s much.
These are the only pictures he sent me, he also said he called Weatherby and gave them the serial number. They told him it was made in 1959 in Belgium. Now is he fulla BS or was the people on the phone. I am now curious and am going to call tomorrow to find out myself.

There WERE Belgium made FN Mauser actions used in the first California built Weatherbys in the early 1950s.
By the late 50's Wratherby commisioned J.P. Sauer & Son to make his own Mark V actioned rifles .
The gun in your pics IS a Mark V action. I do not recall any mention of Mark V actions ever being made by the Belgians.

That’s about what I got out of the research I did today.
Weatherby started making their Mark V rifles in Germany in 1958. Prior to that they were made in Belgium, so if it is in fact a 1959 rifle, it was made in Germany.
Turns out this rifle was offered to my friend on a trade, I misunderstood him. So the guy offering the rifle fed him a line of BS saying he called Weatherby and they told him it was made in Belgium.
Belgium Weatherby, mauser action. This one not for sale
There are Belgium actioned Weatherby's, but not Mk V's.
I also have a weatherby fn 300mag it was made in 1956 has a four digit serial number that starts with a 3 matches on barrel and action along with the royal proof markings that match on action and barrel. the value of these go from 1500 to 15,000 depending on shape and how bad the buyer wants it to add to his collection.
