New 35 Whelen bbl, MGM,1-16, their sixer brake. Had returned a 1-14 which they stated was fine, then they sent me this one. Anyway, still pretty excited, topped it with a 2-7 VX1 Leupy via talley. 200 AB’s in the future probably. Maybe 225’s. Going to start with 225 NPT’s and pray work, and pray i can find more.

I haven't used them yet but from what I've seen, I expect for them to act like Accubonds. I've seen expanded captured bullets and that's exactly what they remind me of.


They say the PP is a little tougher. I think it was here someone have a PP fail to expand on water jugs from a 358win...a little faster at whelen speeds should help. They said the round nose will expand quicker and easier.


I'm pretty certain I will be running the 225gr round nosed Woodleighs from a 18" whelen pump and a 22" 358win. I shoot 225gr Accubonds from a 22" whelen. Accurate and perform great. 3/4 deer have never taken a step from it. The one that did, I saw was gut shot after I let him walk. I centered up the car shoulder in the crosshair which centered the near rear leg. Looked like a rotor rooter went through him. Bullet stopped after it blew the far shoulder up. Somehow he still plowed a few yards.



Is nosler done making 225gr partitions?? That was my other bullet I was going to lean on from the 358win and the 18" whelen.
