I've walked up on two in the 500lb range while turkey hunting, about 30 yards from them, eery feeling when all you got are turkey loads. Up close load of #4 shot in a turkey load is like a slug but not at 30 yards.

We had a guy on our place kill a hog and send us a picture just like that one. We later found out the hog was about 140lbs and the dude did some serious photo-staging with regards to his distance behind the pig and the pig's distance in front of the camera. Maybe this is the case too!

Yowzers.... Screw that bowie knife business. I have no desire to be at close range on the ground with a big hog, regardless of what weapon I have. I've seen big ones take some good lung hits with deer rifles and trot off like they were barely touched. They died 50-60 yards later, but I'd not want to be standing in their immediate path during that time.
Now with even more aplomb

They are getting so bad in Ga, we are seeing more hogs hit by cars than deer in my area. You cant kill enough, I put a camera on a new feeder, got 4 different groups, 31 different hogs all in one day.
We were recently rabbit hunting my place, and illegal dumpling is an issue for us. Buddy walked up on what he thought was a couch thrown in the woods, not a couch. Joker was huge.
