We are watching the death of the Democrat Party and the birth of the Socialist Party.

I feel the same way. There is something here that doesn't pass my smell test.

It doesn't matter. In the end they will coalesce behind the nominee and go after Trump. They have no other function. Trump will win by a landslide. After that, you will eventually lose the country on birth rate alone...

The Democrat Party has been the Socialist Party for decades, the only difference today is that they have been forced to admit it.

It has always been their dirty little secret, now that they have been exposed, they forced to deal with the truth.

That's why they were all upset when Beto said, "hell yes, I'm taking your guns away". Their true intentions are supposed to be hidden, not broadcast from the tallest building.

I will guarantee you.........it's not going to matter who the Democrats elect as their presidential candidate, that person will run Trump a very close race.

A lot of the more centrist DEMs have had enough of the Progressives and left the party. Hopefully more of them leave if Bernie gets nominated.

Rom Emanuel is a guest on "The View" this morning and Bernie's odds of winning the party's nomination but not the presidency is what they were discussing. They sound terrified that liberal socialist Democrat Sanders will get the nomination and wind up running against Trump where he will no doubt lose,

Curiously, as well as ironic, one of co-hosts (with a closeup of her speaking directly into the TV camera) made the statement that, 'the Republican party is no longer the Republican party of old', and then went on to add 'it's the party of extreme far right now', as if to try to impress on the viewing audience that the traditional Democrat Party is the only truly moderate and viable choice anymore.

Emanuel was hawking a new book of his on both GMA and The View this morning.

His main topic of discussion was that Mayors of large urban centers influence and control politics now which is very telling as to Democrats game.

The only reason that the Dems can even try to play Trump as the leader of the "far Right" is that he is against late term abortion and anti illegal immigration. Funny how the real "far Right" thinks Trump is too moderate. All a matter of perspective.

I think you have to look at it this way. It always comes down to swing voters in swing states. I would guess that fewer than 5% of the voters are true swing voters. That's less than 5% of the voters in just 20% of the states. If the Dems offer up a Socialist, I don't see them pulling any of those swing voters. Swing voters prefer moderates and Trump is far more moderate than any of Socialists. Barring an unexpected economic collapse, every one of those swing voters will acknowledge that they are better off than they were during the last election. When it comes right down to it, people vote with their wallets.

It will only be close because of their cheating and lying. Democrats need to be removed from our country. Communism is not for the USA and should not be tolerated.

I really think Bernie doesn't want to be POTUS and never did. His entire life he did just enough to get along. He certainly doesn't have the intellect, work ethic, the drive and the energy ( very poor health) to be POTUS and he's in over his head and knows it. His brain dead supporters sure don't.

He's just willing shill and will be compensated again.

Compare his drive and work ethic to TRUMP.

Jdm537: That is ONE way to put it - I would describe what is going on as the "outing" of the true communistization of the demonrat party!
I say screw'em all.
liberals, commies, progressives, socialists, antifa's, blue dogs all of them.
The United States of America would be better off without all of them.
Sadly I do not see that happening any time soon.

I think you might be right but I don’t think ol’Bern is going to be robbed this time around. If it’s taken from him he’ll run 3rd party and split the democrats. He’ll go scorched earth on the democrat establishment.

I gotta admit I'm enjoying the show, for now...

I see too many downsides to this to be really happy about it, though. The rise of the communist far left we are seeing is truly alarming. I hope it's a flash in the pan, like it was in the early 1970's, but I'm concerned that the way the communists have controlled our universities for the past 30 years has bred an entire generation susceptible to their lies. If those birds come home to roost we are in trouble.

But in the meantime, the Democratic Party is really deep trouble. Their blue collar base is being completely ignored by all these "new, fresh" candidates, and that is going to cost them a lot of votes in November. The old guard is truly too old to hang on. This means that the radicals are going to take over the reins of the Party, and soon... which means the Democratic Party will become the de facto Communist Party of America. The old guard Democrats will have to either 1) join the Republican Party, or 2) form a new, centrist party to replace the coalition the Democratic Party used to represent.

If it comes to that and they choose the latter, which I hope they will, the communists will be marginalized and will never succeed in gaining power through electoral means. They may even dry up and die on the vine, which is what I truly hope happens.

I'm about 60% confident that is what will happen. Bernie will have another "heart attack" (Arkancide, or at least an attempt on it), and the DNC will have to move in to ensure someone "healthy" gets the nod.

My other 40% is that Hillary will somehow vault into the primaries before the convention and steal Bernie's thunder so strongly that they don't have to have a brokered convention.

Either way, Hillary will be the nominee.
