M8's are some of most fun guns ever made. Only gun that kicks you four times each time you shoot it.
Should never have let go of mine.

They also are a take-down... remove the forend and there is a lever on the front of the receiver that you unscrew to separate the action from the receiver.

A model 8 in 30 Rem. was my first deer rifle.

The 35 Rem in the Model 8 and the 300 Savage in the later Model 81 are the best hunting calibers... one in 25 Remington would be a lot of fun.
