100 grn X in 277 caliber took this nice sow through both shoulders yesterday. Bullet was not recovered but the bones in both shoulders were thoroughly broken and she dropped instantly. No drama whatsoever. Good thing too, she was about 6 short steps from me when I dropped the hammer on her. Love those X's badger

Six steps... WOW! Guess I better forget about using my smokepole for one of these babies! Nice job! Must have got your heart rate up a notch or two!

Hey Big Time, -3 is really cold. Visited the in-laws this year (just south of Rapid City) for the bird opener and it was a little warm then. Guess things are a little late everywhere this year. Hope you start warming up some!

Glad to hear those Moly coated 100gr X's are working out for you.

Don't think it could have gone much faster........ I was sitting down leaning up against a tree when she came trotting down the trail. If I'd waited any longer I could have touched her as she would have passed by less than 3 feet from me. She saw me lift the rifle & turned to the side & stopped. Thats when she had the accident badger

Nice pig Badger. I'd love to have wild pigs running through the bush up here in northern BC. I think it got down to a low of -30 C this weekend so -3 C isn't too shabby in comparison me thinks.

Nice sow badger. She looks dry too so she ought to eat good. My hogs have moved out somewhere. They will be back but right now I can't find any. I am not unhappy.

Boggy,

they're not like deer, are they? They will definitely follow the food source & seem to be less than territorial. Seems like they come & go a lot. Sometimes I won't find any fresh sign anywhere on our 600 acre lease, at pther times it looks like they've been stampeding through the place badger.

Nope Bage they ain't. I can take you deer hunting and put you in a place and guarantee you that you will see a deer. You can too I bet. With hogs, no deal. You may and you may not. I don't think a hog knows what he is going to do when he gets up in the morning.
