I will soon have my first 6.5x47. I was planning on shooting 120 gr Ballistic Tips and 130 gr Accubonds. I had not realized that Nosler does not publish any loads for this cartridge. Does anyone have any recommendations using one or both of these bullets?

Find some H4350 for heavier bullets and Varget for lighter ones and you've pretty much got the 6.5x47L covered.

Have 2 6.5x47 lapuas that have shot 37.7 grains of Varget with a 135 Berger classic into 5 shot groups of a quarter inch. Yesterday went sub 3" at 1000 for 3. Might tweak that load for the 130 accubond. Or throw in the towel and try the Berger classic.

We shoot 130 Accubonds in our 2 6.5x47's and I haven't done much with them. One likes 37.5gr of Varget, the other 40gr of H4350. They are easy 1/2' rifles and the H4350 was the first load I tried in the first rifle. It was close to deer season and I stopped playing with it right there. The second rifle didn't bughole with that load and I tried the Varget load which was mentioned here and it shot so good I stopped there. I should play with them and see what they will really do but they are so ridiculously accurate with those loads I can't get motivated to work on them.

Mine shot 123 Scenars with 38.0 gr Varget and a CCI 450 very well. Could have pushed harder but didn’t in the virgin Lapua brass. 2805 FPS from my 23” Lilja.
