I've occasionally seen Die sales figures from RCBS but is there a spot where they show a list of what they were year to year?
It would also be interesting to see sales figures on rifles in different calibers. Is there a spot to find them?..............DJ

RCBS seems to have discontinued this practice some years ago. Scuttlebutt had it that they were loathe to keep their competitors well-informed. Much has changed over the years, and maybe they could be persuaded to resume the practice. They have the information and it should not be a financial strain to publish it. It might seem a friendly gesture to us loonies.

It would be interesting to see the list by all calibers.

And then a list limited to calibers introduced in the last three years to see how the new stuff was doing.

RCBS used to send their list out, but the last two I have received were requested. It is ordered by their stocking numbers, so some cartridges are listed in several places depending on die options available.

General, collected information on cartridge has never been available in a central location. The makers have this thing about proprietary information! It sounds like a mission for the NSSF who could sanitize such a listing.

Die sales and popularity would be different for each manufacturer, but I emailed Redding one time and simply asked. I was interested in where the .223 Rem fell in the lineup, and if I recall correctly it was in the top 5.

I ask that question of Redding now and then, and usually don't get quite such a precise number, but something like "pretty low" or "good the first year, then tapering off."
