Media/politicians over-react, for good reason. The panic it creates causes conditions which help stop the spread. The virus is real, it is more deadly than the normal flu. However it's still just the flu. It's not a big political move, it's typical fear tactics to keep the worst from happening. Simple as that.

My wife talks daily to a friend on the web. The friend is freaking out over it. She's insisting that thousands of Americans have died and the bug is pandemic in the US.
