I'm just wondering what pup distress sounds everyone uses and how they like them. The one I use is a FP sound and while it will sometimes stop one for a second shot (with fox bang), I can't recall it ever bringing one in on it's own, so I'm looking for a proven replacement.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

I have 2 different pup distress sounds on my FP call. The last 2 coyotes I killed were called in using the pup distress sound. I usually don't use it until after the mating season, and I'll use it on up to when I usually quit calling coyotes in late spring or early summer......and I pretty much hunt them year round, avoiding hot weather in midsummer. The sound definitely works better when the pups are still young.

On my Luckyduck calls I use pissy pups and pup chaos to call coyotes. Works any time of year it seems. For the most part I use barks and/or male challenge howl to stop a coyote for a shot. After the shot I usually go to one of the fight sounds, especially if there are multiple coyotes on scene.
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

Thank you TR. Do you know if the LD calls can be bought and put on a FP? (I know, sacrilege, right?)

The Lucky Duck sounds are encrypted, so no, they can't be put on FP callers.
