Seeking information on deer kills with Speer Gold Dot 123 grain 7.62x39 bullets. Seeing Ingwe's success with them in .223, I can't help but believe they would be good in the x39.

Not the 7.62x39 but in the 6.5 Grendel they do a number on large hogs.
And these are 120 grain.

I have a box of the 7.62x39 Gold Dots. I’m going to work up a load for my 7.62x39 AR to try them out.
Even without first hand experience of this specific GD bullet I have high confidence.
Speer seems to know that they’re doing with their GD/Fusion bullets and ammo. The bullets are well designed for good performance within the velocity range of the caliber for which they are intended.

Ive been shooting stuff with 55 grain gold dots out of .223s...they work.

I have used the 62/64gr version in .223 Remington for pigs and deer to good effect.
Was curious about the 55gr version for my slow twist 1-14” twist .220 Swift. Might try the 55/62gr in that gun and see which shoots best.

Can't speak for this particlar bullet, but if you are still looking try the sierra #1365 55gr btsp. Have killed many different animals with it and extremely accurate.
