Who is using this for a hunting day pack? Did a search, couldn't find anything. Thanks,

I've got one.
I have only used it a few times, shooting rock chucks and such. Seems like a good daypack, but it isn't designed for serious load hauling as it does not have a lumbar pad.
I am 6'1" and the pack is a bit too short for me. The waist belt wraps around my waist instead of my hips due to my torso length. It is still a good pack that I plan to keep for times I don't need to carry much weight. Spring bear, fishing and predator hunts seem appropriate for it. I don't shed hunt, but I can see it being useful for that.

Thanks, T. Do you have the Sherman Pocket too?

Yes.
A word of caution: if carrying your rifle using the Sherman, secure it to your pack with something "lockable" like small carabiners, rather than relying on the K clips. My Sherman pocket came unattached last month when hiking down some canyons and my rifle dropped with it. It made a hell of a whack on the rocks and POI was knocked off.

Still thinking about this pack but I'm the same height and worried about where the belt will land.

I have the Shape Charge with the Sherman pocket. It’s a neat pack but I like to carry either a spotter or my 15x Zeiss and a tripod. So loaded down with that and the other stuff I carry it was a little uncomfortable for me.
depends on what you will be carrying. Grandson is now using the SC for a day pack for fishing and bow hunting.
I went back to the 14er. Much more comfortable for me with the internal frame and the load lifters. I have a large belt pouch on the pack and a smaller pouch on my belt. Lots of straps on the 14er ! Takes a little getting used to. Nalgene bottle fits in the large pouch on the pack. I also have the gun bearer.
