Here in Yuma we have a great many snowbirds from Canada including several in my gun club. They are all packing it up.

My parents arrived home from Yuma last night. Glad they made it. I don't think any of us can predict how this is going to play out.

And secure borders, in this instance, means squat. My neighborhood will be less likey to have the virus brought in by some one from Libby, Montana than from Calgary, Alberta. Likewise, people in Eureka are not likely to catch anything from the farmer in Grasmere but they might want to worry about the guy who is driving up from Whitefish while visiting from Seattle. Citizenship means nothing but location means plenty. Ski resort towns, Casino towns, places which are home to people who travel, these are the places which may be a home for the virus. I have a great deal of respect for the health care workers. They are at greater risk than anyone. GD

GD At this point, one probably oughta be giving a big thumbs-up and thank-you to the folks who work in retail grocery stores as well as convenience stores as well as gas stations. I sure do hope that the grocery-store chains pass some of their current profits on to the folks working these long exceptionally busy and stressful hours over the next few weeks.

Currently if it hits here we are moving our trailer up to the hospital along with others so she and her co-workers can just stay there and way from the general population. This bug doesn't scare me, but they are going to go into shutdown if it gets bad so everyone stays on site to avoid spreading it.

I was thinking about heading down to go turkey hunting in Wisconsin in another month. I called the bank to get some US Cash—$1426 dollars will get me a thousand US. Never mind

A little common sense will go a long way. I'll stay away from major population centers for the next two or three months. This will be no hardship since I don't like going to any of them anyway. If I get sick, I'll stay away from others. I think I'll lock my gate and put up a sign for people to honk if they want to see me. The gate is about 150 yards from the house and if the person coughs while I'm walking down to the gate, I'll draw down on them and give them ten seconds to clear out before I start shooting. Common sense! Seriously, at some point, we'll have some cases locally, north or south of the border. Until then, we're probably OK. We can't go visit our elderly parents who are outside our area but we have always made it a rule to stay away even if we just had a cold. The rules Justupid Trudeau spoke of sounded pretty ineffectual and not well thought out to me ( "well thought out" is a foriegn concept to him). He said Canada would turn away anyone except Canadian or American citizens or permanent residents (legal immigrants) or THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. I take this to mean that some Iranian/Canadian or Iranian/American can return from that covid-19 infested country and bring along a few germ-carrying family members for a visit as well. Does that sound like a serious effort to block the virus to anyone here? Ultimately, I suppose, I'll catch it or I won't. If I catch it, it'll make me real sick or it won't. That's the way it is. GD
