Since I am not well versed in panicking, I thought I would reach out for help.
Which panic have you found to be most productive/preventative, the Full Bore Linear Panic, or the Modified Stationary Panic?

Thanks in advance.

Where is Pat McManus when we need him!?

That's what I'm saying. Now when I finally need him...

I would suspect the type of panic where you freeze in place would be the way to go. smile

This is a "bug in" panic. Not a "bug out" panic.

I wouldn't recommend the ricochet panic if people are around.

It looks like the MSP is the early leader. I will throw in some vigorous arm-flapping as well.

At work it goes like this, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout.
The new job is talk about the virus.
I'm getting some of my fishing gear sorted out, screw the virus.

The full logarithmic panic seems to be best.

I generally put my brain in the safe deposit box when I want a really good panic episode.

It makes for quite a bender as the bank won't let me in to get it back until they think I am in my right mind again.

Dance wildly while panicking. "Now you panic to the right, now you panic the left,".

Just panic. oh, what are we panicking about?

If in a crowded place, start with the MSP until a safe exit route is located, then go turbo into the FBLP until one reaches a safely isolated place, and switch back to the MSP. Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean something is not out to get you.

And wash your damned hands!

I did once see a mule deer do a FBLP. I've posted this before, but opportunity calls...

I jumped a spike buck who pronged away, then stopped to look back. I had stepped to, and put my back against, a big evergreen trunk before he looked back and he lost me. So he came cat-slinking back, looking, passing within 5 feet of me. I touched his butt with the tip of my fishing rod and he went straight forward into a tree, bounced off that headed in a new direction, tried to leap over or through a tangle of brush which threw him to the ground on his side, and that sent him off in still a third direction, streaking flat out.

That was 38 years ago, and I'm laughing as I type this. smile.

Personally, I prefer a Modified Slow Crawl while keeping my eyes on EVERYONE panic..

Along with bringing up my "Crazy Eyes" which saved my ass a few times in Bar Fight Panic situations. Panicky situations call for desperate measures, and as anyone who has seen them will tell you, my Crazy Eyes will definitely express the desperateness of the situation.

I'm laughin' right along with you!

Critters can do some really crazy stuff when surprised.

And panicked.
