They may not be finished however.

"When Will Poaching Be Acceptable to The Fire? "
Honestly, if and when it gets to that point I won't GAF whether acceptable to the fire or not.

Isn’t blasting one off of a corn pile already poaching? Or strapped to front of some guide’s jeep bumper?

Illegal in some states, unethical to many, but poaching, not.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

If one can "justify" breaking the law for poaching purposes because you're hungry, then you're no different than the guy who shoplifts some food at the C-store because he's hungry, or even robs a bank because he's poorer than he wishes to be.
Once a person can "justify" breaking one law, then they can "justify" breaking them all since they have slipped into teleological thinking at the expense of deontological.
But I also suppose everyone on the 'Fire considers themselves virtuous while the next poacher over is simply vicious.
What a dumbasss thing to say, or believe. Like I said in another thread, if JG and company get hungry, I'm killing something regardless of 24HCF approval.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

In the first place, there is plenty of food in the USA to feed its people. There may be a day or three where there is not the meat or what ever you want on the shelf. But relax, there is food.
I Won’t need to shoot any of the deer that are on my lawn, most days. But in the extreme odd case that I did, I won’t be checking here for approval.
Get a grip guys.

Steve4102: I have heard that Magpies (in enough quantity!) are very filling and delectable when carefully prepared! I have enough meat and food on hand to last the VarmintWife and I for 2 1/2 maybe 3 months - no poaching really needed here. I doubt many American families at all will have the need for Big Game poaching. Food banks and relatives with foresight should be enough of a fall back plan - wouldn't you think? Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

People that do live in a rural area (that do have at least 1 acre of land, and do not have a garden, chickens, or something..................would not know how to butcher a deer. I think people may years ago might kill small animals, but very few killed large animals in summer. They had no way of preserving the meat. That's why people butchered animals, or harvested big game in the fall and winter months when they could smoke and cure it. I have cleaned deer in September when the weather was close to 100...............most could not do it. The smell, the flies, the filth at the same time your shirt is soaked with sweat. You also have to cool the meat before it goes bad. I can live off beans and rice until cool weather were I could take care of something properly........wow......that was quite the rant I went on.

Its almost time to start fishing. I like fish and its usually easy to catch a bunch. If times are hard just keep a few more and freeze'em up. I don't like cleaning deer in warm weather, they're loaded with the ticks. Heck, I'll just say it, I'm too lazy to clean deer anymore. That might change if I was to get hungry enough. People will do anything if they're hungry enough, I wouldn't call the man on anybody if I thought they were hungry, I might even give him a fish.

No, I think a hoarder buys more than a few extra. When a store manager sees this, he's part of the problem if he doesn't stop it. Pic below originally posted by slumlord: Re: No Meat in StoresThey see me rollin....they hatin

Yup, fishing
Catch what you need, anyone can do it. You don’t need a pro staff endorsement, to catch a mess of bluegill from the bank. A shade tree is nice though.
Unlike a deer, you got a 150 lbs of ‘oh shît what now’...
That wouldn’t be me, I have a walkin cooler and complete processing set up.

I grabbed that from Instagram
But I also seen it played out locally, a gal had 6 gallons of milk. I wanted to ask her if she was raising a litter of niglets or bottle feeding a calf in her living room.
