OP Tannhauser Campfire Regular Joined: Sep 2017 Posts: 500	I recently purchased a lightly used Rem 700 ADL off Gunbroker to use as a donor rifle for a JES Rebore. It arrived to me with a Simmons 2-7 scope installed, which upon use was not a great piece of glass, but perfectly fine for a function check. I returned from the range with said rifle, and my wife asked to take a look. After checking to insure the rifle was safe, she shouldered it to give it a look, and here's where it started. Immediately she turns to me and says "The scope in this rifle, I don't think it's very good glass?" I said "No, it's serviceable but definitely not great, basically it's a cheap scope.". She spends a fair amount of time shooting with me, and occasionally in a blue moon will go deer hunting with me, so she's familiar with a range of quality in scopes.. So here's where the ultimatum comes in. She goes "Well, I don't know if I like the idea of cheap glass in the safe, and I/m really not comfortable with you hunting with cheap glass so you better fix this right away!" To keep the peace in the house I went out and ordered a Vortex Razor HD LH, which upon arrival my wife did agree was an improvement. Do any of you fellas have to put up with stuff like this? Your wife making you go out and buy better glass?
