Cynic?

It's good ol' capitalism.

Or maybe better described as profiteering?

Yep, and another guy from MN is wondering if it’s ok to start poaching in MN because meats are in short supply. He should poach in Costco.

Way too many folks who panic easily.

Yes you did.

The coffee is not very good. Not near as good as Folgers.

I do love the can it comes in though!

Amazon delivers two cans at a time at probably a huge mark up.

I am a sucker for a metal can......

People are friggin stupid.

Safeway has USDA Choice New York Strip $3.99lb in maxpacks right now. (US sourced beef)

Guess what wasn't sold out.

No hamburger but a full case of primo steaks for only a $1 more a pound.

Bought 4 packs about 15lbs.

At Costco got 20lbs of fresh Italian sausage, 3lb stick of Molinari Salami, two cases of spam and two cases of Dennison's Chili last night

Had to pick up a few prescriptions this afternoon so I ran a couple of other errands as well. Local butcher shop, fully stocked on all fresh cuts you'd expect for pork and beef. Sausage, brats, beef sticks, pot pies, seafood, burger, poultry. Anything you want, normal prices. T-bones on sale for $9.99/#. Says he's having a hard time keeping up with demand so he's not selling whole beef-clods but he'll sell you all the 88/12 ground chuck you want @ 4.49/#.

Local liquor store isn't short on anything either.

Pharmacy had 1 @ the counter pickup. One waiting, and my stuff was ready for pickup immediately.

Summbitch we might make'r.

Summbitch, you have a butcher shop in your town?

Where you at, how far from me.

Is dandihood anywhere near NE Urth?

Watched a navajo roast a big ole giant gerbil desert rat thingamabob wrapped and hung in trip wire over a Trash fire and eat it.
Think he won about 150 bucks in the pool for doing it IIRC

Seems like you're OK on meat for awhile.

No poaching game yet for you Mister.

Haven't been following, what did they set for a trout opener? 1st weekend in April? Turkey opens the 28th, I may have to go up the hill following the snow line in a place I heard has a flock or two.

We have several butcher shops in Fargo. I like Prime Cuts, never a frown or crabby person behind the counter, they all look like they're having fun and treat everyone they recognize like family.

Don't know about Fargo,

sounds more like instead of there, you're in some town in the 50's. Time machine stuff.
