I fix residential furnaces, so I guess if they call I am critical to them. But between the normal spring time slow down and this stuff it’s been slow. It’s 10 degrees with a strong north wind so we will see what tomorrow brings.
I do think people are being more cautious about having any type of in home work done either plumbing or heating

I fix residential furnaces, so I guess if they call I am critical to them. FWIW, I recently hoarded five or six replacement filters. Filtrete 20x20's, change every 30 days.

I work in the design, build, and deployments of much of this nation's 911 systems.
I started 25 years ago in South Carolina, building up all of the 911 infrastructure at the MCAS and MCRD, plus the city and county of Beaufort and City of Hilton Head.
After that, more or less lead the development of wireless 911 solutions, (GPS location, hybrid network OTDOA/trilateration, etc) in this country......
Now deploying cutting edge Next Generation 911 solutions.
So, working from home to keep team members safe, but ACTIVELY working from home. We are on point.

Depends on the definition, I worked on an emergency Covid-19 staging area last week in King County. We support construction project and design projects for infrastructure.

I work for a small mfg facility. We make hermetically sealed connectors that get welded onto sealed compressors. We feed larger subsidiaries that are big in the refrigeration and HVAC world.
I'm part of the Enterprise IT-- don't work for the facility or the larger subsidiary. I'm considered "critical." I've been told that as long as the large subsidiaries are running, I've got work. However, I may have to work at home for a while. I've told them I've checked out my VPN connection in the turkey blind-- no problem.

Some of our product is used in the process of manufacturing IV bags. I 've never needed one... It employs 4 people in our plant about 1/3 of the time.
The rest is not as critical.
Well, if we aren't coating paper, in a little while, there won't be any utility transformers built. Critical ?
Seriously, what's critical?
Our Governor lists paper manufacturing as critical. Logging, isn't.
How fugging long does he think they can make paper without wood.
Truck drivers were just Rude, Crude, Dumbasses blocking the highways 2 weeks ago. Now you see people kissing their ass over how important they are.
Most jobs are critical. Restaurants aren't considered critical. Tell that to the truckers who couldn't eat, crap, or wash their hands driving the 350 miles across the most expensive highway in the nation. The Pa Turnpike.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Have been told to plan on staying on the job site for 21 days minimum, have to keep power on the grid. I am a Operations shift supervisior and outage boss for a large electrical producer. They have brought in beds that are scattered around the admin area, and plan to fly food to us.
The part that stresses me out is the wife. The kids are happier than a pig in s#^t, staying home.

I'm in the optical industry-a dispensing optician for Walmart. We have been determined to be an non essential medical operation, and as such, have been shut down. My options were to work out in the main store, or take a layoff. For the foreseeable future I'm running a front line register. All the optical shops around us are shutting down for the run of this, so it's not like I could switch my allegiances to another shop. We've got bills to pay, and the main store's not closing down at this time, so I'm darned glad to have a job.

I’m a registered nurse who works a local community hospital. We have a total of 7 “PUI” (person under investigation). I’ve now had two shifts where I cared for one of these folks. He is improving. His oxygen demands have decreased since Wednesday from 4 liters to 1, moving air much easier, afebrile and regaining strength slowly.
I believe this is day 7 or 8 waiting for his results from his Covid19 screening to come back?! This guy is gonna be clinically appropriate to discharge yet we don’t have the screening back which is absolutely retarded.
What diagnostic value does a test have if you don’t get the results back till after the patient is on the mend? Or in this case may not get the results back.

Facility manager for a couple of. Gov departments. My family won't have to worry about me bringing it home......I'm buried in work.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Is there a list of critical industries? Not sure if my trade is considered critical, but I damned sure know that my paycheck is.
