Extreme Leftist Gov Gavin Newsom earlier today ordered a State-Wide Lock Down to start at Midnight! All non-essential businesses are ordered closed! All non-essential personnel ordered to stay in their homes! All non-essential travel is prohibited! Any gathering of over 9 persons is prohibited! All California residents are ordered to: Stay at home Wash their hands Observe Social Distancing within their homes! All Californians to report violators to authorities! Of course...all government officials are exempt from these orders! NEWSOM LOCKS CALIFORNIA DOWN!CA UNDER MANDATORY 24 HOUR LOCK DOWNCALIFORNIA LOCKDOWN!

It is a Misdemeanor for non compliance.
The directive goes into effect Thursday evening. Those found violating the law could be fined up to $1,000.

I hate to break the news on this, but Ohio has been under a similar sort of restrictions for several days.
We aren't on "Lockdown."
For the most part, it's business as usual, although the bars are closed, and you can only get carry-out from a restaurant.
It's not all that bad. It certainly ain't worth all the incindiary hoo-haw.

Kind of eerie here this morning...lots of people cooperating I guess. Reminds me of 9/11 and the days after, very quiet, very few con trails in the sky. Highway traffic very sparse, usually 30 or so cars go by on a normal morning, maybe 5 this morning. School shutdowns have slowed morning activity over the last few days. UPS man left yesterday's packages on the woodpile on the porch, told us the policy was to let the packages sit outside for at least 24 hrs. I went 20 miles to the hardware store yesterday, pretty much business as usual, people shaking hands talking, going about their business, post office and grocery store looked normal. I don't think rural people are buying into Gov Newsom's power play posturing for the 2024 election. We'll see how this plays out over the next couple weeks, right now, the guys I ran into yesterday are calling it bullscheiss.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
