I like pickled okra - only have had commercial stuff - I imagine that home-made would be like so much home-canned (jarred) stuff, disappointing to me.

We are doing grilled lamb chops, rosemary roasted potatoes, brussel sprouts and a small salad with Maytag blue cheese. And a few beers.

I have had a pot of ham and bean soup simmering all afternoon. The wife is making a tossed salad to go with it.

Hell we may need giant cabbages if the food situation doesn't get better around here. And I ain't going out to the store for a few days. I'm not overly worried about the Chinese virus but most folks that are out don't seem to care at all and that does concern me.

Looks and sounds damn good, have to tell the wife about that one. We were in the big city today picking up work material so hit an Arbys drive through.....been a long time. I inhaled two medium sandwiches.

Got some boneless pork ribs that will be oven roasted, then mixed with whatever fresh vegetables fall out of the 'fridge when the door is opened for a stir fry. Probably make some Ramen noodles and some rice to put under the whole mess.

I fried chicken last night. Just thigh/leg quarters. Sho nuff good!

This morning I made scratch bisquits, deer pan sausage, and the last of the mayhaw jelly. The strategic reserves of mayhaw jelly here have been consumed!!! 🤣

I almost forgot to take a picture. Braised pork, black eyed peas and rice, turnip greens and turnips.
