Mountain Dew is for pansies who can't handle Sundrop- - - - - -sort of like Bud Lite drinkers who choke on real beer. Jerry

I always use an old pop bottle at work to hold my water in. Misplaced it one day and said what the heck I'll get a Mountain Dew for a new bottle to use. Got about 1/3 through it and dumped the rest. Think I could have downed a bottle of Vick's cough syrup easier.
We pray our sights be straight and our aim be true We pray for no pain to the game we pursue We thank you Lord for this land We thank you for the sights from our stands We pray for safety, one and all We pray we may return next fall
I went through a phase where I consumed a lot of that pale blue "Frost" flavored Gatorade. But eventually went back to unsweetened tea at room temperature.
I'll drink tea with ice if I've been outside worked and get too hot. But mostly I just pour it into a gass and drink it.
Is the water quality really that bad in Kentucky and the South?
No. Main pollutant according to my water company report is runoff from agriculture with low quantities of Prozac a close second.

We get water from Kentucky American and it's very good.
The absolute worst water I've encountered is in Youngstown, Ohio. It's sulphur water. I've been other places where the local water had enough sulphur in it to smell. But taking a shower in the hotel room in Youngstown would stink the entire hotel room up with the smell of rotten eggs.

I don't know how those people tolerate it.
The town where I live used to get water from a community well and had it's own water treatment plant where they added whatever chemicals to 'supposedly' make it safe to drink.
A few times a year the sodium content would get so high that they'd put out warnings to residents on sodium restricted diets to not drink it. There was so much sodium in it normally anyway that ice cubes made with it 'pitted' like when salt is used to melt ice on sidewalks. The ice cubes in carbonated drinks caused them to go 'flat' almost immediately. Coffee made with it was a real eye-popping experience for nonresidents.
Thankfully several years back we got water piped in from a nearby county's municipal treatment facility.

C'mon! Sugar and caffeine. What's not to like?
Slaves get what they need. Free men get what they want.
Edgar is a classic. Vincent D'Onofrio should have gotten an Academy Award for best supporting actor.
After the Blue Brothers MIB might just be my favorite movie.

PS change the words to Give me Mt Dew and you have a good idea what a Mt Dew addict is like.
The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
