Another trick was a size 16 gold treble hook, a Pautzke's Balls O Fire egg on each point, and a mini marshmallow slid down the line to cover the top of the hook and keep it off the bottom............almost always worked.

Yep, straight to the ocean bay. Limited run of Cutts make it up into the pond. About 1/4 mile fish swim is all.

Same here. Small garden worm hooked once, no swivel, no sinker, drift under overhanging banks/roots. Can't do it now here or you're a poacher and risk campfire scorn. Good thing I still have a freezer full of venison or I might starve. JC ain't gotta worry. Could live 6 months from fat reserves.

I’ve fished this pond for 48 years...Some of Pops ashes are in her.

Aside from the mountains to my East. This is one of the only places I find some feeling of peace.

It’s been a great little pond for giving a man or kid a good time with a bobber or spinner.

Nice pond Beaver. We had a nice pond like that too. Several dry years and then a hard winder took care of that.


We basically lived down there, Grandpa and I.

I used ta hate latching into 5 6 7 ft alantic eels in the penobscot river.

Had one bite the bottom of my foot when I was 12 swimming 1 day


My dumb azz standing on an engine block out by the boat bouy in pushaw lake.
Coksucka was inside it.
Fugga,s got some type of anticoagulant in their pieholes.
Had ta go to eastern maine med center get the bite cauterized and got 2 pints of blood .
Cauterize was not fun....

All my friends cut their lines if they hooked an eel.
I got a fancy belt hatchet just for them fugging things.
Never let one go after I got bit from one of those pricks
Chop them bytches toss the parts in the fire.
All my buds laffin their azz,s off while Im chopping the things up.
We was stoned and drunk out weekend camping all the time anyways.
Eels didnt get a pass with me.
