Let's say starting today you couldn't access and outside source of meat.
How long could you hold out with your current supply?
Without breaking there "law" what sources do you have available?
I have a family of 5 if they all come here, and with last year's haul we could make it until season starts in October but we would have to reduce our portions slightly.
I have plenty of catfish and crappie 50 yards from my backdoor.
My other supply, trout on the reservation, is on hold till the reopen but eventually they will.
That's an additional 10 fish per permit, peer day.

I'll run out of coffee before I run out of meat, and that has me worried.

My place is on a feeder to the river. 3 min boat ride. Striped bass are plentiful for the next couple months until they migrate to the bay. not hard to catch a handful of 40lbers in the spring and smoke them. Plenty of fish to last for awhile. If things get tough, big old catfish are always abundant fishing from my dock

I never had a striper that could compare to fried catfish if it was cleaned of excess fat.

I have 20 cases of MREs, 10,000 oysters on the hoof, the "outside refrigerator", knowledge and materials to make 50 gallons of beer... as well as a fully stocked pantry.

Don't own a Creedmoor, so won't have to restock pretty pink panties.

Just at the house I have a couple hundred pounds of meat in the freezer... beef, pork, chicken, turkey, 20lbs of elk, fish. Organized the freezer and I found 24lbs of bacon.

45lbs of flour, 30 beans and 25 rice... a little lite as I had been working it down before replenishing.

A larder full of canned goods, 20lbs of coffee.

Fishing season is starting so will be adding more.

Been ready for a long time. Raised by my parents and Grand Parents who lived through and remember the real depression. Pantry is full. Freezers are full. Have 4 caners and enough jars to convert the frozen meat and fish to canned in a couple of days, if the power fails for an extended period,

I’d want to have five gallons of cooking oil and cornmeal if I had to live on fish.

I probably still wouldn’t eat drum...😃🤮

Having parents who lived through the depression sure did teach me. Food is no issue.

Yep.

Most here wouldn't even believe me if I said how I'm actually situated on food/essentials... So I won't.

I have almonds and peanut butter for protein.

Not to mention the freezer in the garage full of stuff.

Come to think about it one really does not need to eat all that much to survive for a long time.

Almost forgot yesterday i went to the store and found a 4 lb bag of rice as well as a 2lb bag of pinto beans.

I think i am good for months and months.

I have plenty of meat, sausage, pork and beef, plus I have a whole hog on it's way. Should be here next week.
Pantry is not full, but full enough.

Canning shelf is full.

The thing is, my food supply is not because of the Kung-Flu. it's always the way it is.

We are good as long as the electric stays on.

I'm not prepared for a prolonged power outage though. Not enough canning supplies. I only can about 10lbs of deer a year. I should have allot more on hand. At least the supplies to can a large amount if the power were to go out.

Indefinitely. We have loads of axis deer around the property and, being an exotic, there is no season. I took this photo last week. They are maybe 30 yards from my front door.
