Braum's milk is the best for drinking and cooking. Thanks, Bill Braum, and RIP.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Stores says its founder, Bill Braum, has died. He was 92. The company announced the death Tuesday.

The company says in a statement that Braum died Monday at his home in Tuttle, Oklahoma.

He grew up in the Kansas town where he worked for the small butter and milk processing plant his father ran. He inherited the plant, but later sold it.

Braum launched the chain bearing his name in 1968 with 22 Oklahoma stores. The chain has grown to nearly 300 stores with locations in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas and Missouri.

I can't begin to guess how many giant chocolate malts I've enjoyed from Braum's but it's a tanker truck full. Hope the chain continues to prosper now that the old man is gone.

The company will likely be run by Bill's grown son, Drew. The dairies run by the company are giant. Braum's also has its own bakeries.

Tuttle is a small town just Southwest of Oklahoma City. Braum's is very popular here.

When we were married in 1987 my wife's first job was assistant manager at the Braum's in Grapevine, TX. It was a good job for her, it paid pretty well and she enjoyed working with the high school kids. Awesome hamburgers and malts and ice cream.

Love the Braum's stores. Bill Braum was very good friends with the landowner (since passed away) of the place we hunt whitetail deer up in the TX Panhandle. Braum's farms is right across the North Fence of the place.. He was supposedly a very nice man, and may he RIP.

Braum’s is easily mine and my wife’s favorite burger place. Braum’s farms is a huge operation. There are several cattle ranches in our area owned by the company.

RIP Mr. Braun

Your shakes and malts almost make the 500 some odd miles to Van Buren AR worth it.

We once toured the Braum’s Family Farm in Tuttle, Oklahoma. They have 10,000 cows there and they milk each of them twice a day.

Love Braum’s. Hope the family doesn’t pull the usual move of selling the business off before his body even gets cold..

Braum's ice cream is usually responsible for me gaining at least a couple of pounds every time I drive across Texas, love the stuff.
