Last thursday they went to 100% online tag a bird.
Your back area pass was your tag if you answered yes that you killed one when online checking out.
Normally deer and turkey are tagged and bio data taken at the kill shack.
0% human interaction with the online tagging....
Ok.....
Whatever.

Got outta the woods and back home around 1230
Shower, nap , feed dogs
Just went online to check areas for this week coming up
Areas run friday to thursday no tuesday or wensday hunting.

They eliminated all human contact in the tagging process.
How in da hell in de fugg am I gonna come in contact and spread C19 turkey hunting by myself.

.gov types that release the area,s from range control( I used to work their) will do anyfugging thing to do less.
They will follow like sheep and not say anything logical as to why are we doing this cause it makes no sense.
But be all exicited about less " work" and same pay.

These areas are projected on a system called RIFMSS done 6 12 18 months on advance.
Even if this range control office is C19 shutdown
These areas were easily uploadable.
Well in advance.
If anything more areas should have been available due to no training
right now due to C19.

I dont see the logic in this
And the only hunters going into post are the active duty ones that live in housing.
Us retirees maybe once in awhile.
And the civilian hunters nope

The back 40 is not the base cantonement area and the built up base area is gate controlled.

Most everything is being access controlled by #,s of people
Allowed in and out of the PX and Commissary anyways.



But this no turkey hunting until further
Notice is 100% bullschitt......

Cause certain people see a way out of work , these areas coulda been released from a work at home type of deal or before with some forethought.
I bet someone thought that and it got shot down also.

Birds wont be so educated.
And the hunting is way better starting early mid april due to the nature of the birds and green up and bugs in fields as a food source.

Either way each one not getting shot daily starting tommorow equates into a survivor for when it opens again
Or making it too next year also.

That sucks man. I’m in NC, own property in SC. Will be violating our stay at home directive to hunt my property. Was cyber scouting some NC National Forest land last night in the hopes of running short on SC tags. We will see if it stays open

Has nothing to do with turkey hunting, all DOD installations are restricting access to mission essential personnel. I know people who are out of a job because of it, I think you'll be OK.

yeah its bull chit, i don't do much shore fishing anymore, but every once in a while my brother and i will hang out with some friends and fish for drum or reds and just have a good time drinking beer and bullchiting in the evening.
