I have a favor to ask, I need a picture or two of the inside of a Super-x 1 fore end, the inside from above, and the end that rests on the receiver. My son's wiggles and it looks like it was chipped out and the right side where the springs between the barrel and the magazine tube resides. If the nut is cranked down real tight it seems better, but maybe it needs work. There is nothing around here to compare it to. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. Thanks for any help.

battue, Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. That helps a great deal. Maybe I can repair it. It's a great shotgun, kind of heavy, but beautifully made. He bought it at Cabelas for $325 in perfect shape, except this problem.

Thanks for the link. I've looked and the forend can be found in a couple of places but chances of matching would be slim I would think. It might come to that and I'll just refinish both stocks so they match. My son is working overseas so I have plenty of time to fix it. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for the offer, Greg, I appreciate it. very generous. I fixed the forend with some Acraglas. Wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, and it came out fine. Thanks again that could of been a life saver.

How did you refinish the stock. I'm in the process of doing something with my super x 1

SLDUCK, that’s the original finish. All the work done to the forend was on the inside. I just sealed the inside with marine spar varnish. Would like to see yours when you finish it.
