Missing ring/stud set. What do you guys use to fabricate a new one. It is a shooter, so it doesn't have to be too fancy. Thanks.

During this downtime in American business.. some shelter at home machinist could crank out 50 or so of these for eternal Savage collector gratitude.. and maybe enough spare $$ for a couple cases of beer to tide you through the social isolation.

Good idea Rory. Put me down for two subject to pricing. Same thing for the lanyard rings (10) on the French and Portuguese Savage pistols and cartridge loaded indicators (10).

The lanyard rings on the pistols crossed my mind as well, those should be trivial to make. Heck, I could use 3..

Nice try. While the world struggles, they just put us on 50 hours a week. I am getting a little too old for this. I gave up drinking.

Does your 330 have click adjustments or like the one above? The click adjustment scopes get passed off as sniper lookalikes and bring big bucks. The 330 with friction adjust still can bring a couple hundred. The mount has been below $200 for the 3/4" model.

Rory, who the hell installed that rear ring backasswards??

Probably some idiot back in the 1930's.. I dunno. That scope and mount had been on there for a looong time.

When you think you've designed something so simple that people can do it themselves, the people prove you wrong. grin

I always figured the rear ring could point either way, though it does look best when installed the other way around.

Thank god the stores haven't run out of beer or liquor yet.

Answer is: Nobody uses anything. There used to be a guy that made repro studs and rings, but he sold out 15 years ago or so and has never made any more.

Somebody may have jerry rigged one, but I don't remember it off the top of my head.

A guy could probably sell 20 right here on the fire.

I just can't believe it. The minute they sent all non-essential employees home the work load almost tripled. The SOB's are bored at home so they are actually doing something. It normally takes me an hour to an hour and 15 to get to work in the morning and an hour and 30 to get home. I can make the trip now in 30/40 minutes. It is great. You stay safe.
