I’m drooling over here. Has anybody here ever handled, owned or shot one? Are they worth the price? They look beautiful. Thinking a 9.3x62 is on my bucket list. I can’t imagine there are too many floating around the campfire, but I bet there is one or two.

The Expert and Diplomat are fine looking rifles, no doubt.

Awesome stuff for those who can swing it. I have to content myself with used FNs or the odd Zastava.

That does not qualify as a hardship !

This just in. I'm the big wiener, er... winner!

This has been on GB for a while, relisted a few times I think. The stock's a bit fancy for an old fat man, but appears very well done.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Personally, I like Monte Carlo stocks with cheek rest, forend tips, grip caps and butt plates/recoil pads complete with white line spacers. The retro look from when I was young. Don't know why they ever went out of fashion except I guess all the old Fudds thought they were too gaudy. Unfortunately, that attitude stuck us all with plain, drab and boring as the standard.

I resemble that remark, or used to anyway. I've mellowed some. Definitely like having a solid cheek weld like this one oughta provide.

That's a nice one Pappy. I guess that is called a melded schnabel fore end tip?

Beats me; never saw one quite like it that I recall. Looks kinda Yurrupean, like something off a Schuetzen single-shot. Like I said, appears to be well-executed, which makes all the difference.

Been eyeballing the pics and think it might have potential to get trimmed down into one of those English-style jobs, but I'm not gonna futz with it unless I see a real benefit.

I've dealt with the seller before. He's a good guy. Congrats on a really nice FN.

Ralph Martini lives in Cranbook, about 4 hours from Calgary. They used to be offered in standard calibers like 30-06. They are beautiful rifles. Several years ago they were about $10,000 CAD.

As have I. He sold me my A5 Light Twelve and Browning Low Wall Traditional Hunter .44. I consigned a Sako High Power to him as well; sold in about a month. He finds the good stuff.
