I joined the fire in 2011 and the "must have" thing was a fast twist 243 AI, and it also seemed that everyone was shooting a TTSX. What was the hot topic, or "must have" cartridge, rifle, or whatever when you joined?

Have a regular 243 for 35 years, 280ai was the cartridge, so I had a custom built. 7-08 was a favorite for me, so I rebarreled a sa. 257 weatherby was a hot topic here, and a cartridge I always wanted, so I have one. It's bad a$$ !!! 7-08, and 257 here.

What was the hot topic, or "must have" cartridge, rifle, or whatever when you joined? I don't recall. What I do recall is that, with very rare occasion, it was when half the people didn't think the other half were morons, jerks, racists, had lady parts, etc., etc. I'm not sure when that changed. Hot topic was probably the start of the light rifle craze.

How about the "faux Ti"? I built one in 7-08. I sent that one down the road to fund something else.

Don’t remember what it was in 2013 It Seems like last couple years the thing was 6.5 CM. I decided to try it.... and It was worth it. Currently new hype is heavy 22s Thinking the various PRC will be next best thing

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
