I am amazed at some of the questions. Remember google helps at times.

You put a 357 in a rifle and see what you can do and get back to us, it'll leave a lasting impression on you. I just recently bought a Browning 92 in 357 to increase my firepower and scratch that itch all over again, or Jeff's would be coming to Oregon. The story-(you knew there was a story) I was hunting a powerline cut and I noticed movement way out ahead. When that hare silhouetted himself I letterip. Snowshoes are white in winter so you have to have them against a dark background to see them at that range. He was and stood out like a lightbulb. Of course I had eyes, knees, and tireless energy back then at 19. 175 of my steps to the wabbit, which average a yard.

Don't make me come back there and give you old farts another shooting lesson! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

In New Hampshire when a white snowshoe hare in on white snow, we use the little teeny tiny black eyeball as the target. I once did it at 176 yards with my model 23 25-20 and at 177 yards with my Winchester levermatic in 256 Win Mag. laugh laugh laugh

Anyone have one or have information on the 22 Hornet/ 20 gauge combination in the model 24. Any information on numbers produced each in the different cals. Seen a few 357's and only one in 22 Hornet. Can find no listing of sales in the 22 Hornet. GW

It may have. At my age, I am not interested about survival. Don't need no f u k k i n g s h i t. paper as long as there;s leaves on trees of a puddle to wash my finger after I take a dump. As I said, 24's have always been interesting to me but every one I've seen didn't make me look. I don't buy anything from any one I don't know or at least know of. I like this one and it ain't going nowhere once I get it.

A buddy of mine (actually his older brother) has a Marlin 1894 in 38/357 and that is a cool little rifle. Thuddy-eights shoot like a big ole' BB gun and are a hoot. However I was impressed with the authority of 125-grain 357s. Not an elephant gun, but they were more than I expected and something that would make up into a great little personal defense rig.

I have a 24F in 22H/20. Bought it in 2015, put an old 3-8x32 Bushnell on it and shot a couple of boxes of PPU ammo through it. I never fired the shotgun barrel before cleaning it and putting it away.

I've had a couple of the 24Vs 357MAG/20, still have one, but I don't remember having seen a single 24V in 357MAX/20. I have long thought that one of the satin nickel 24VS would have been the one to own.

Here's a 357 max that sold.

Did some of the 18" barrel 357 mags sell with a pistol grip or at least were available?

Somebody posted on here not to long ago that they bought what they thought was 24, 357 mag/20 gauge and when they got the gun turned out it was actually a 357 Max.

Can't remember who that was but I think it was one of our Canadian friends...?

Yes, the 24VS was cataloged with both a stock and a pistol grip.

I did it once with a spitball out of a cracked McDonalds straw.

Would have used my 22-250, but then who would have believed that?
