There used to be a place that sold M700 actions already trued up for building. Not talking "custom" that are 700 clones but Remington actions.

Have a friend looking to buy a CRF Win M70 for a build - wants SS so not really pre-64 specific and asked if such a place existed to get Win m70 actions cheap - or cheaper than buying the whole rifle and dealing with the part out later. Possibly already trued up?

Any insights?

30-06 length - he's looking at 35 Whelen for a build. Win in McM. No clue on who his tube or contour is yet.

pre64win.com would be a source if he were looking true pre 64, but not sure if Justin ever deals with the ss classics. You could have your friend reach out to him; he might have some leads.

Yeah - I seem to remember someone selling actions off their police rifles back in the day. FN SPR's.

Might be those are gone etc. and he's looking at the WORST time right now to find anything.

He'll have to find a cheap SS CRF M70 with plastic or beat-up stock - then have it stripped and rebuilt into his dream rifle..

I see reference to pre64win.com are they the only show it town other than a donor rifle, looking for a pre 64 action for a barrel I have, would need to magnum face and box.
