Hoping some here are handy with their AIS VHF RADIOS
When you set up your pos polling to automatically send a pos request to your friends boat devery 20 seconds, if your friend’s radio is not set to answer a pos request on auto, will his radio then alert him every 20 seconds, or will my radio lock on to the boat after sending a pos request one time, without sending a request to the target every 20 seconds? Neither boat has an AIS transmitter, only AIS radios.
