I have several Remington Model Seven SS rifles. I have a 7 SAUM with a 22” magnum contour barrel, 7-08 with a 20” barrel, and a 308 with a 20” barrel. All of them have the factory barrels on them. They’re very accurate and all of them balance perfectly.
I’ve never had a reason to swap a barrel on one. I've owned a pile of Remington Sevens since 1987. Every single factory specs Model Seven with an 18.5" or 20" barrel was butt-heavy. Butt-heavy isn't the perfect balance for me, but it might be for you. The only 20" Model Sevens that I've had with good balance are stainless barreled actions that I installed in the laminated mannlicher-style stocks from Remington's custom shop. I currently have 10 Model Sevens; 6 have longer, 22" thru 26" replacement barrels, 2 are the 20" barreled actions in laminated mannlicher-style stocks, and the other 2 are NIB.

Here's an example of an older three-hole Model Seven I put together a few years back. Barrel is a Shilen #1 finished at 21". Barreled action is glass bedded in a, now defunct, S&K walnut stock. Scope is a Leupold M8 4x33. Weight is right at 7# unloaded. It balances nice, maybe just a hair butt heavy, and I do mean a very small amount. The stock is heavy, I have considered replacing it with a McMillian, but never got around to it. Shoots 3 rounds into 3/4" if I do my part at 100, on occasion, I'll fail the rifle and open it up to an inch. IIRC, pet load is 31 grains of 3031 pushing a 100 grain Ballistic Tip. To be honest I never fiddled with it much as far as load development.

I like your rifle, not so much the scale.
Back in 2004 I bought 2 Model Seven youth rifles in 243 from guys on this site for the actions. They sat around gathering dust for several years before I got around to installing Remington 700 Classic barrels on them in 250 and 300 Savage. i cut the barrels back to 21" and glass bedded the barreled actions in factory walnut stocks, the style with the schnabeled forearm tip, and installed old Leupold Vari-X IIc 2-7x28 scopes on them with even older Leupold Detacho-Mounts. I d&t'd a second hole in the rear receiver bridge for the 2-piece base. They are a matched pair and I like them, but don't find occasion to shoot them often. I think that the Model Seven CDL stocks look nicer, 'cause the schnabel on the Model Seven stocks is too big and not nearly as attractive as the schnabel on the Winchester 70 Feathrweights. To my eyes, that is what a schnabeled forearm tip should look like in both size and shape.
