Get a tube of Loctite super glue, loctite because the tips never get plugged up or stuck, and keep that glued together and it won't bleed or get snagged on boogers ! DO NOT USE Gorilla Brand Super Glue. It sucks for wounds—takes too long to cure. Krazy Glue is my favorite.

I was making potato dauphinoise a while back and took the top of a thumb off with a mandolin slicer. I felt it take off the first chunk and thought.......oh nuts.....here it comes. It did.
