Those of you that bought the wood stock limited 6.5, how are you liking them so far? Any issues/problems?

I did not buy one because i could not bring myself to join "Creed Nation" but a buddy of mine did and his rifle shoots excellent and functions perfectly, His has a pretty plain piece of wood ( I have seen some on GB with much better) ....He is a reloader and says the rifle is not picky at all. I have seen it shoot sub MOA with his loads....Good luck...Hb

I cycled the action on one at Sportsmans warehouse, rough as a cob and the bolt tough to close , it was made in Troy Alabama . .Glad I didn[t buy one from GB , it would have been sent back. If it cycled well it would be a really really nice hunting rifle.

Interesting, I played with one at Sportsman's as well and it was reasonably smooth for a brand new gun, didn't see where it was made.

The one I looked at should not have left the factory. That said hopefully the one I looked at does not reflect the line. I think it is a great design and practical rifle. I would buy but not the one I picked up.

I broke down and bought one, The safety on mine stuck in fire position after a few rounds. I called Kimber and they told me to return it. OH BOY! OH JOY!. Kimber sent me a UPS shipping label by email with prepaid freight and I returned the following day. Rifle was returned to me in 8 days round trip! Best customer service I've ever had with gun company. Not a long ranger twister and dialer but nice little hunting rifle, carries and balances very nicely.and shoots groups average between 1/2 and 3/4" I happened to buy a nice glass stock here on the fire awhile back advertised as a Remington 700. Several months later after putting it aside I tried a short action 700 barreled action, no go! Turns out it was a MPI for a Kimber 84M ,and my barreled action fits perfectly. Now I can save the fancy wood stock for a go to meeting rifle. Mounted a Leupold 6 X 36 fixed power and skim bedded into MPI stock Try it, you'll like it!

A friend bought one and the bolt was tough to close on his also. A drop of oil in the bolt shroud sleeve lock spring and a tiny bit of grease on the lock itself. Worked the bolt several times and it fixed it.

That is a good deal. Not as good as Whitakers but not bad.
