Just got a 1952 Ser# J401xx. Did these come from the factory with front swivel?. This one had a swivel in the bullseye and

one in the front of the magazine tube. I replaced the rear swivel with a bullseye and removed the front swivel. There is a

groove in the barrel and the magazine tube to accept the screw for the front swivel. I can't see Marlin milling a slot and not

putting a swivel in it.-----------------Thanks

No, and the stock sling swivel is the give away. Bullseye should be still in position. I have an SC in 32 special and it has the sling swivels etc, including right in the middle of the bullseye. I have considered fixing it but where I hunt I need a sling in case I have to drag for a mile or so. I also have an A in 332 special and that is still unmolested.
