For me and my family its covid. I'm at very high risk so it concerns us.
Economy will rebound. Yes some folks will be hurt and that's bad but it will come back. I know I've been broke before and pulled myself out of it, I'll do it again if need be. And if I kind of know you from around the fire, I"m willing to be common sense is in full swing. High risk folks generally have months of supplies on hand, 6 months typically. They know when its time to close the front and back door and just hibernate so to speak. And they have the ability to disinfect what they might need to get like mail possibly. Or packages. And they have the sheet plastic and tape and such to really seal off if they had to. So you will survive this. I'd be willing to bet on it. And if you don't, your day was that day, not sooner, not later. Kinda gruff I guess but we will all have our day. I'll survive the virus and my family will survive the economic impact. I dont live paycheck to paycheck. I'm still working. better than most around here. I posted on my own beliefs, as a community I would say economy.

The virus is way worse, on a personal level.
When your loved one dies/you have lung function destroyed,
that's the whole sheban, for you.
Big picture as a country, if 100,000 people die? No big deal.
We have 330,000,000. Very few are important enough to have
losing them matter. The effects of this thing though...
The deaths might be a footnote, the effects of the economy,
along with the social effects, could last decades.
The hoarding and shortages were short lived, thank God.
My first fear was people running out of food.
Nothing, no-damned-thing, will turn a society upside down
faster than a man with a hungry family. Many here talk about
"Living off the land". Brag they would be fine. It doesn't work that way.

People worry about 20% drop in a 401!

My biggest worry is that people will forget what is most important in life when things return to normal. Spending piles of money on entertainment and eating is restaurants is gone right now. Spending time with the ones in your house is more important then what some star or celebrity is doing. Money and economy concerns are less important when we are all in the same boat. I am staying away from people , not for my sake , but for the sake of my wife that has janky lungs. With the Russians and Saudis trying to out do each other and the world wide economy faltering why worry about little things. I spent my retirement by taking life easier and now have minimal bills. I may have to work til I die , but I can mix in a lot of fun stuff til then.........
