Just got a rotary tumbler, I know there is a thread on what folks are using in it to help clean it was Dawn and something. How much of each would be great too. It is a Frankford Arsenal platinum

Lemishine

Tablespoon of detergent, less is ok, and teaspoon of lemishine.

Dawn & Lemi-shine in hot water is all I use in mine the SS pins were a PITA and I stopped using them, I set my Frankford Arsenal tumbler for 3 hrs. and the cases are clean enough for me.

This is the recipe I loosely use.

Here is the recipe I was given when I bought my tumbler. Mine is a Thumbler's Tumbler.
4 squirts of Lemi Shine
4 squirts of Liquid Sun OXYgen (I used Dawn)
1 tablespoon of cream of tartar (yes the cooking powder). Makes the brass very slick.

1-2 lbs of brass or steel pins

I filled my tumbler ¾ full, added the pins then brass.

If you tumble for 2 hours or so, it'll look like new.

Good look.

I use the stainless steel jewelers media and is a lot easier to use than the pins.

I do this

If you have a food dehydrator, they work great to get them dry.

I use Lemishine and Dawn in mine, and I also add a splash of Turtle Zip Wax to it in the hope that it will retard cold weld and prevent tarnish but I don't know if it actually helps or not. I guess it doesn't hurt a thing, anyway.

i use 2.5lbs of steel pins, a 5 count squeeze of dish soap and a few shakes of lemi shine powder and tumble with hot water for about 2 hours. They come out looking like new.

Before my lemi shine came in the mail, I had some other dishwasher cleaner liquid that seemed to work equally as well as the lemishine.

I love this setup, I just use a strainer set and have absolutely no issues whatsoever with the stainless pins, they just soft to the bottom. Strainer tray where I keep them until the next time.

Please expound. Weight, mix, type, etc.....
