Most dogs it’s ok. A dog with any collie blood in it will die.

Vet told us not to give Ivermectin to any dog with collie blood. Worked good on the bird dogs though.

So how much of a horses dose of 6.08 g (.021) would one take.

That's the single squirt dose of paste for a horse up to 1250 lbs. I guess about 1/5 th.

I haven't worked any cattle in years now, we quit feeding yearlings when they got high. Back in like 2007 or so I think Cydectin was cheaper.

I took a dose of Ivermectin when my blood work showed a high eosinophil count and waited two weeks and took another dose to catch the hatch out in case I had parasites. The high count was later judged to be allergies to hay and farm dust but I did notice a bit change in digestion so maybe I did kill some parasites. I have given it to dogs as heartworm prevention. I've been told that killing an established infestation of heartworms in a dog will kill the dog when the worms turn loose. Another time a pour on dose of Ivermectin sufficient for a 500 lb. animal ran down my arm and pooled in a rubber glove I was wearing. We were busy so I didn't wash up for several hours. The stuff seems fairly safe for mammals.

Bwwwaaaaaa... not a chance. We have been using it for our Labradors for 40 years. Not Collie or herding dogs approved.

Wabi, Ivermec is usually injected in cattle, but supplied in paste form for oral delivery to horses. And dogs around our place. Just a little dab for the dogs.

Why not a dose of 7-Way while one is at it. Also some branding, castrations, and ear tagging.

Wabi is planning an enema. Don’t do it ,Wabi! Wait for the testing to conclude.

Funny,,,,,, daughter ( former Vet tech) mentioned this one evening when we were talking about covid about a month ago! She said "Hell! Ought to use Ivermectin! It takes care of everything! Let vets handle this virus!” LOL! We all just laughed. She was kidding around with us! LOL! Damn.

If people start taking that stuff, they'd better hope they've been hoarding toilet paper! Most dewormers give an animal the schitts!

So how much and how often for a lab weighing about 60lb, please?

It’s all I used for heart worms. One tenth of a CC for each ten pounds of body weight, a 1/2 CC max. I got that from a dog trainer. I gave it to dogs for 20 years. I had no dogs get heart worms.
