Have had several coyotes come to the call while turkey hunting in NY.

Believe it or not NYS has a closed season on yotes including turkey season.

Had bears, wolves, mountain lions, bob cats, and lynx come to a turkey call. Be watchful and alert.

Well - sorry he got scratched/cut bad and glad he can tell the story. Then again, I would not classify that a mauling by any stretch, and technically would not classify it as an "attack on a human" even though a real human got dug into - because experience says the cat probably could not distinguish the big human form all scrunched down in camo and thought it was swatting at what might be a noisy hen. Just bein' picky.

Sure, I they wanted to. I'd believe the panther launched expecting a hen turkey and got tangled up with a human with a gun and tore out of there.

Had a red fox damn near jump in my lap once when calling turkeys. I was set up on the edge of a Christmas tree field and he used the cover to get right up on me.

Both of us about shhittt when he jumped out from behind a tree about 3 ft from me.

Poor bastid bout turned himself inside out trying to get out of there.

Shook me up a piece too.
