A few years ago, I planned to buy an Accura V2 but really liked the stock on the Optima V2 much better so I bought the Optima. At the time, I'm not sure I even realized that the Accura had a Bergara barrel and the Optima did not. Anyways my Optima is VERY accurate. I'm thinking of getting another CVA and just looking at photos, I like the thumbhole stocks on the Accura V2's - I plan to look at them in person soon. Sooooooo my question is, for those of you that have had both, are the Accura's with the Bergara barrels typically more accurate than the Optimas? I know they aren't more accurate than my Optima but maybe I just lucky.

Slammer, since no one is answering your question, mind if I detour the thread with a couple questions?
How accurate is your Optima, and what are you shooting? I have one and like it a lot, but with triple 7 pellets and XTPs I'm getting 4" at 100 yrds.
Still accounted for a couple bucks this past fall, but I thought I'd try to improve that once I used up the triple 7 pellets.
Thanks, Ella

I have groups where they are all touching at 100 yards. I can text you pix of targets - the load data is on the targets. PM sent.

So many variables with muzzleloader, but I don't recall anyone cuss or discuss a V2 that was NOT accurate.
Keep in mind that the V2 is not a 400+ yard rifle. No matter how hot you load one up it's dropping pretty good at around 200 yards. So, if a rifle is at least 1 MOA it should be plenty accurate enough for 200 yards.
My V2 shoots better than 1 MOA. It might do better I invested the time and money and working up the load, but I was happy with it so stopped.

If you are getting those kinds of groups, I would likely not buy anymore . However, if yo do choose, I would buy what has worked. As for me, I would like to pick up another TC Hawken, or a renegade . I dont get my round balls touching at 100 yds but I only have a peep. 2 " common and never more than 3" @ 50 Yds with a cheap block of wood for a rest. Good enough for deer . Put a scope on it and it would likely shoot half the groups.

I like the Optima a lot. Great trigger. Triple seven and XTPs shot well in my H&R switch barrel, but I'd like to see if there's a better load for the Optima. It has a Leupold 1-4 on it.
Slammer, PM sent. Thanks.

I have the Optima V2 LR and it's shoot lights out. I use Black Horn 209 and 300 gr 44 cal. XTP bullets. I use 100 grs by volume and a the Harvester sabot! My rifle also shoots 10 grs by volume of BH 209 and 300 gr 45 cal XTP bullets really well to!

I have only shot one Optima V2 and one Accura mountain rifle and did not see any appreciable difference in accuracy. The Optima is mine and the Accuracy is my cousins. I could not see enough difference in features to pay the extra cash.
