Do not buy from any country that doesn't require decent wages and safety for workers and enforce that strictly. Suddenly American manufacturing would start back up, and things would cost more but we wouldn't be supporting exploitation that leaves workers in slave like lives and actually kills people in third world countries. Are cheap goods worth what we are enabling in poor countries? Worse than slavery is what we are supporting. At least a slave was valued as property. Actually, China is well on the way to creating a middle class with all of the workers that are in the New Economic Zone. That’s fact.

Subtract from? Hell no. What we owe them is a small fraction of what the cost will be of this $hit. Cut them off, erase the debt, zero trade, zero travel. Tell every country to do the same. They like watching countries collapse so much they might as well study it up close. That would almost guarantee war. China would have nothing to lose. They would have high unemployment, less access to resources, and a huge population of single males due to the one child policy. Add in the loss of face and China would feel forced to act, much like Japan did when we cut off steel and oil exports to them in 1941. THIS!!!!!!!

I've always tried to buy American or products from western countries [tried]. Commented in the backpacking subforum quite a while back about buying an American made top quality bag someone? pm/d me about they could spend their money wherever they wanted . Commented on Trapperman about the BS of Duke Traps copying the Minnesota Brand MB550/650 then having them made by slaves in chinawan - members there said they LOVE the trap - nothing but greedy cheapskates who care nothing about the welfare of their neighbors . Good Morning Bruce !!! Hello, you old codger. It's nearly impossible to buy much that's not made in China, Taiwan, Indonesia, India...and so on. I was just out surveying a worn out trailer jack on my boat trailer to see what size it was. It's a Fulton jack...Made in China. I can't find one that isn't.

Government regulation is one of the things that has driven production to other countries. Until the regulations are relaxed companies will still produce things outside the US.

Lower minimum wage to $2hr? Bust the unions up? Manufacture [bleep] at home? Which one are you?

It wasn't the Chinese that sent all of America's manufacturing to China.
Anybody that wants to point their finger at how America got in the condition it's in needs to point it at D.C.

One trillion and half the real estate on the west coast.
Why we let Chinese nationals buy up property out here is beyond me.

We do not need communist going to our schools. We do not need communist working in our companies. We should not buy items made by any communist country or company. We do not need any communist in our city, local, or federal government. We do not need any communist in our military or military training schools. We just do not need communist anything in America. If communist are here then they need to be ran out of the country. Or eliminated. The only true way to get rid of a cancer is to kill it.

But starving people get aggressive and violent and tend to kill other people who have food. That could well be our problem
