The on-line calculators suggest we will be getting enough for a few nice steaks and a bottle champagne. About $150 bucks.

And, that is my plan.

My wife and I should get $2400 total. I'll be putting it in the bank. I don't need it, everything is paid for and I don't really need anything else. But I've got 2 kids who are making house payments and raising my 5 grandkids. Depending on how this works out they may need a little help in a few months. This won't be nearly enough if they were to lose their jobs. For now it looks OK for them.

If I understand this right we won't get a 1099 and have to pay taxes on this. It is supposed to be considered tax refund on 2020 income. But who knows for sure. I don't think anyone actually put much thought into how this was supposed to work

Most people don't really want the truth.

They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

Yep! The meal will be FANTASTIC!!

My wife and I have already donated (roughly) 10x that to the Loveland food bank here in our home town, plus supporting other initiatives here.

I'm guessing you will be getting a full taxpayer check. Whatcha' doing with yours?

Some simple math.......

2.2 trillion dollars divided by 335 million (just rounded).....every man, woman, child.

.......equals $6567 each.

2,200,000,000,000 / 335,000,000 = $6567

$6567 borrowed to get you $1200 (or nothing maybe).

A real bargain.

Financing that ‘additional’ $6567 of debt, for each individual......year after year after year.......on top of the $22T+ already.

Ah, don’t worry about it, Atlas will pay it.

No idea if I will get one or not.... and no idea how much... don't care , wish they wouldn't send me one and if they do I certainly won't be bragging about it here...

If your work wasn’t interrupted, do you feel obligated to pay it forward to someone who lost work?

You can just keep running your mouth, azzhat.

By the way, the meal i mentioned will be coming from Henry's restaurant, in downtown Loveland, Co, via Grubhub. Every Friday night we have been ordering out from a small mom and pop locally.

I do believe I am going to give it back the the Government...................only in the form of paying back a Parent Plus loan from the kids college. Right now they have suspended interest on these loans so every dollar paid back goes to principal. Some of those damned loans have interest rates of 7.9%. Will dump money into highest interest loans first and try to maximize any advantage. (What we have been doing anyway, just now interest free for a couple months). Just waiting on Uncle Sam to make the deposit now.

nealglen37,

I just spent some of the .gov money. I paid for my 6.5mm wildcat barrel to be bored out to 8mm. And while Pendleton stocks had the rifle I told them to cerracoat the barrel while he had it off the action. Shipping included it came to $375.
