Got a new project to play with...Tikka T3X Superlite 7 Rem with NF 2.5-10X42 MOAR in talley lightweights with a bubble ring top. Right at 7 and half pounds as it sets. Feels great and balances well...Going to push 150 scenars through it hopefully in the 3100 FPS range. Should make a dandy backcountry, bomb proof setup. I am in for Idaho Moose again - hopefully this is the year I draw and it can go chase Bullwinkle. That'll work.
I killed my once in a lifetime goat and sheep with a 7 rem mag.
My moose with a .30 Herrett Contender handgun.
My wife killed her Goat, Sheep, and Moose with a 7mm-08 ULA (Pre."N"ULA)

never met a 7mm mag I liked. a flaw in my character I am sure.
that said never have seen anything here in the western hemisphere that setup won't kill. graveyard dead

Hiaring8: I have a Tikka T-3 in 338 Federal and it has been a dandy Rifle for me. I bought it for Spring Bear Hunting but have NOT brought a Bear to bag with it as yet.
Maybe this year?
