I don't think there really is such a thing as an "all-around" gun LOL ...... The "all around" gun is real. That's why most here own at least six of them. My "all arounders" include two 308s, 30-06, 300H&H, 275 Rigby and a 280.

Nice stick pacecars, I recently came across a late 50's made Sako in 30-06 that could fill that order nicely, put an old gloss B&L Elite 2.5-10 in the factory Sako rings that came with the rifle, first load workup with the 200gr Partitions went into 5/8ths of an inch at 100 and flew through the chrono at 2709 fps, I set the scope three inches high at 100, I believe I'm done with that put together, just waiting on season.

Mine is a Left hand Tikka T3X stainless in 6.5 creedmoor. It wears a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 and shoots Federal 140 grain blue box soft points extremely well.
I like the weight and balance of the rifle. The smoothness of the action and trigger are great as well.
For what I hunt the 6.5 cm is plenty and i like the mildness of the cartridge.

.300 H&H Rem 700 25.5" Douglas 1/10 Factory, but tuned trigger McMillan Edge Air Gauged I've never taken it overseas, but it's been to Alaska and several western states, killing anything that needs killing. It'll be with me in the Yukon in August (hopefully) for griz. Curious. What barrel contour? And all up weight as shown? Thank you !

I will be receiving another all around rifle, at least for my kind of hunting. I have a Shiloh Sharps Business Rifle in .50-90 on order through Bill Goodman. It was scheduled to be in at the end of June but not sure how long it will push it back with them being shut down for the COVID-19 debacle.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets

Remington 700 CDL, 24" 30-06 with a 6x Leupold. It's taken pronghorn, mule deer, black bear, elk, wolf and grizzly. I'm well pleased with it. Regards, Guy Great picture Guy. I was wondering which CDL would get the all around moniker in your picture!

I have several all around rifles but a Ruger Hawkeye all weather 30-06 is pretty hard to beat.

Mine's a once again box stock boat paddle 308 with a 3-9 Trijicon Accupoint. It wore a Boyd's for a few yearsuntil I felt like changing back.

Browning X-Bolt stainless 30-06. Failed Dura-touch stripped off and sponge camo paint job done. I have 4 sight systems sighted and ready to use in a minute, Minox 1x5 illuminated dot #4, Primary Arms Cyclops 1X, Ultra Dot 30, and X/S aperature rear & white line post front sight. Quick change sight systems and cal. 30-06 make this rifle an "all arounder" for my hunting.
