It has been such a long and busy week that I have not had the time to sit down to write this up. As many of you know that read my thread, I lost my son Saturday night in an auto accident. He left behind a beautiful eighteen month old girl. Family and friends were gathered outside his in laws house Tuesday night. All of a sudden his little girl pointed across the yard and her mouth dropped open as she gasped. Her mother asked her, "What is it baby?" She said "Daddy". Her mother asked her "Do you see Daddy"? She nodded her head yes. She never tells anyone that she loves them unless told first. She starts speaking "Love you, love you" along with other jabbering. She continues saying "Love you , love you, bye bye and night night" while smiling and waving at him. This went on for ten to fifteen minutes while everyone watched in awe and never said a word. People say there is no God and nothing happens to you when you die. If you can read this and believe there isn't, I feel sorry for you. We believed in God before this happened, it just solidifies it even more. I hope this has touched you and helped you in any way.

And it was on the third day.
Something similar happened to me on the third day after my old man died. I didn't see him, but I believe he sent me a message.

I'm so sorry, I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to lose a child and the pain you must be going through! Prayers for strength and comfort to you and your family! This weekend we celebrate our Lord's triumphant resurrection, His defeat over death! As a believer, I believe we WILL see our Lord and ALL his followers in Heaven! Even though I don't personally know you, you ARE my brother in Christ, you are NOT alone!

Guess I need to be more awake to His messages. Bless you and your family and all the son's friends. Most of what I might say sounds trite. You have my condolences. The pain lessens yet you won't completely forget. I found my Dad after his suicide in '74. It still hangs in the background. You will always miss him. Please remember all the good things as he grew up. Things you shared. It's OK to have tears. But the magic of a grandchild is amazing as you have already found out. Revel in them.
