The burgers aren't bad either. Last year when we went up, Mormon Crickets covered at least 8 miles of the road. Stinky bastards to wash off.
Broncos are officially the worst team in the nation this year.

That church roof looks to be in pretty good shape..
A good place to seek sanctuary in these unusual times.

I had to turn the sound off, but thanks for the video. There is a lot more there and in better condition than I ever expected.
Only lived here for 64 years, but never been that way.

Been there many times. Snowmachine into there in the winter. Ride dirt bikes to it in the summer.
It's not really ghost town per se, but it does have a very interesting and colorful history.
Rancher friend has a couple houses there. The burgers are good...

Summer weekend it can look busier than Garden Valley, another cost of population growth

It's a cool place to visit.
I recall a brick [bleep]-house at the entrance of town, and a Masonic building with creek running under it.

Prefer Jarbidge Nevada over Silver City. I believe it is more remote and more fun to visit.

Boise library used to have interesting reading and history of Idaho City, Jordan Valley, and the Owhyee areas. Some of it wasn't very politically correct but is hopefully still available.

I haven't been up there in years. I know all the buildings are privately owned and many have been restored as summer homes. It was quite a mining town in it's day. Back in the late 1800's, someone thought they found signs of diamonds real close to there. It started a rush but soon petered out when no diamonds were ever found.
