My son has a good friend, whose he's known since the second grade...
Cammy just turned 26 last month... she has terminal cancer and probably has another 30 days or less on the earth..
She lost her older sister two years ago, also to cancer, at the same age...
If you have a few moments to spare... a prayer for Cammy and her family would be appreciated...
as a cancer survivor myself, my heart goes out to cancer victims and especially their families...
but for the life of me, I don't understand what God is thinking taking people so young in their lives..
my son is having a tough time dealing with it.. even tho he works also in health care, at a our local hospital,
this is the first person he personally knows who is passing...
I hate March 26th each year.. as a side note... 50 years ago today, my 16 yr old brother took his life...
Again too damn young...a spare prayer for Donnie would also be appreciate...

Tough stuff, John. Prayers for your son, his friend, and you too. We discussed many things at Quemado last summer, and to be honest I may have forgotten much...but we have much in common in terms of personnal losses. Be well and be strong my friend.

Just an update on those of you who kindly voiced and gave prayers...
Cammy passed away this morning from Cancer.. she had two brain tumors that had metastasized extensively..
She was only 26 years old...
Prayers for her, her family and friends, would be appreciated by those so inclined...
I've been around a lot of death in my life, working in the medical field for 40 plus years..
but I still can never get over it, when it is someone young, who has so much to live for..
and it was nothing they did to themselves, like drug overdoses, or something crazy like that..
it does stress my belief in a God, and what was he thinking...
but who am I to judge.... just another loss in our society....
but why did it have to be someone so young.....
