Not a gun writer but a 1:9 twist is better than the 1:10 twist for the heaver bullets. Give it a try
It is not about what you kill, it is about the hunt....

bludik,
A lot depends on the elevation and temperature where you usually hunt. The higher the elevation and the warmer the temperature, the better those bullets will stabilize. A good rule-of-thumb is that 5000 feet in additional elevation is equivalent to an inch of rifling twist: A 1-9 twist at around 5000 feet works as well as a 1-8 at sea level.

I'd try some of the shorter 105's. But not 107 or 108. I have a Savage 243 with 1 in 9.25 twist, but have only shot 95 and 100 pointed soft points so far. But I think I've heard of some having success with the Hornady 105 BTHP in similar twist rates. Here's a bullet length list. Although not complete, and possibly not 100% accurate. But it's a start. https://www.jbmballistics.com/ballistics/lengths/lengths.shtmlThey have this stability calcularor too. https://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmstab-5.1.cgi
