I have an 870 in 28 g. It’s time to restock, and I’m curious about the frame size and the stock size required. I assume it’s a 20g. Does anyone know for sure.

Thanks,

Bob

A post- 1977 20 ga stock will fit. The LW series may have problems with the forend fitting but the buttstock should be fine. As an aside, the 20 ga was standardized on the 28 ga frame after 1977. Prior to that the 20 ga was mostly built on the 12 ga frame with some models on the 28 ga starting in the early 70's I believe.

Thank you very much for the reply. Saves me a bunch of speculation and running around.
